Yesterday in what felt like -10c in London we managed to make it to the annual International London Ice Sculpting festival in London’s Canary Wharf.
Set against the corporate backdrop the free event showcased the best sculptures in Europe. Incorporating the Winter market, which had European foods and a graffiti wall and sculpting master lasers this event was defiantly a hit. Only wish it was warmer, ideal temperature for me, but not the ice sculptures!.x.x

For those who haven’t been, Dean Street Townhouse is a cosmopolitan boutique hotel in the heart of London’s Soho area, but forget about staying here, we want to know about the food. In particular their breakfast. The dining room is very inviting with a mix of vintage chairs! Traditional chandeliers and an all English Dining menu. The breakfast starts at 7 am, and with The full English, eggs, omelettes and kedgeree on the menu you can’t go wrong.
If you are visiting do book as it does get busy, but do try it.x.x

I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best
A lazy Sunday afternoon in January consisted of an afternoon of Jazz.
My husband I went to a performance of Jazz at the Movies at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London’s Soho.
The set list was made up of songs from the 1940’s through to the 1960’s with some ‘modern’ music thrown in from the 1980’s. Admittedly the only song I knew was from the classic 1955 Disney movie Lady and the Tramp, ‘he’s a tramp’.
Would we go again? The answer is yes, but maybe with a bit more modern jazz that we can sing along to.x.x

Hands up those who have never been to The Hummingbird Bakery.
Now with those who have your hands up, go and find one ASAP.
With a growing obsession with cupcakes the founders of this American bakery have hit the nail on the head. As soon as you walk in to the very pink bakery you are hit by the smell of freshly baked cakes and then the vivid colours.
With flavours like red velvet, carrot, Vanilla and chocolate and daily specials, which is worth gaining in daily for! They also have whoopie pies, cheesecake.
If you haven’t been. Go now!
